Supportive Housing

To succeed, you need a place to call home.

That is why CCC has developed supportive housing to help people in Portland transform their lives and end homelessness.

In general, supportive housing combines affordable, accessible housing AND supportive services needed to meet the diverse nature and complex needs of homeless people.  It has proven successful and cost-effective in helping people stabilize and reclaim their lives as productive members of society.

Those served are very low-income homeless individuals or families.  They may have mental illness substance abuse HIV/AIDS, other disabling conditions, and/or a history of criminal involvement.  They may have a combination of any of these conditions.  They may be our nation’s veterans.

There are various approaches to supportive housing, depending on the needs of the population served, such as  Alcohol and Drug Free Community housing (ADFC) and harm reduction housing.
